Well I have arrived in Christchurch….just one more flight! I think that so far the weather is looking good for tomorrow. I need to check-in, then weigh-in (and go through customs again) at 7 am. Apparently that is a “lie-in”. In the “good old days” check-in started at 2:30 in the morning.
Today I was issued my Extreme Cold Weather Gear (ECW); it filled two orange duffel bags. I need to wear a lot of it on the plane for the flight. You know, in case we crash, they don’t want us to be left unprepared in the cold. How’s that for a sobering thought? I hope they keep the plane cool… otherwise it will be miserable in that huge parka!
Next time I write, I will be on Ice!!!!!!
